Herston Biofabrication Institute (HBI) is the first institute of its kind – advancing knowledge and technology in 3D scanning, 3D modelling and 3D printing of medical devices, bone, cartilage and human tissue.

Opened in 2020, the Institute takes a multidisciplinary approach, bringing together clinicians, academics, industry and consumers in its 1,500-sqm, state of the art facility.

Quadric was engaged early in the design process with designers Hassell and acoustic engineers Stantec to provide an acoustic glazed system that met the needs of the bespoke project.  Quadric worked alongside Formula Interiors and Queensland Glass to deliver a solution in our Optima Partition system including:

Optima 117 Plus single glazing RW38

Optima Edge Symmetry double glazed doors RW41

Optima Edge Affinity single glazed doors RW36

Optima Kinetic Align sliding doors RW36

As the exclusive dealer of Optima Partitions in Australia, Quadric works with design consultants to deliver a level of aesthetic, acoustic, and functionality unavailable anywhere else on the market.  For more on Optima Partitions see:  https://optimasystems.com.au/
