Imagine Orthodontics

dynamic approach to Dental Care.

Timber framed glass, custom timber seating, bold and subtle highlight colour are blended to stunning effect creating a contemporary and welcoming space.

Careful design planning has allowed for maximum use of this small floor space, incorporating entry foyer, sterile room, office space, employer kitchen, store room and several surgery rooms with city views.

The Quadric team co-ordinated with trades to ensure pinpoint accuracy of core holes and services to allow connection to base build. The addition of bold splashes of colour throughout, were mirrored across key objects from other floors and provided a further visual link between the levels. The management of a staged delivery within an existing office space, incorporating many comprehensive and intricate details, proved a testament to all project participants ability to work together for a shared vision.

Gallipoli Medical Research Foundation Laboratory

The Gallipoli Medical Research Foundation perform clinical medical research focused on development of medications and methods to treat a range of serious health conditions that affect among others, Australian veterans. GRF are housed within one of the older buildings at the Greenslopes Private Hospital campus. This staged refurbishment project provided a modern PC2 laboratory and supporting administrative space as well as adding to the amenity of the space for clients and users alike. Being an enclosed site inside an occupied and ageing building provided many challenges, which Quadric coordinated to meet the client’s needs.  The continuity of service for the hospital was critical and a successful delivery was achieved with minimal disturbance.

Queen Elizabeth II Hospital Emergency Room

The Emergency Department of this hospital received a staged refurbishment. Quadric was required to create minimal noise and fuss as the hospital was still in operation. All work was completed as quickly as possible without missing any details or specifications.

Dental Space Fitout

This project won the People’s Choice Silver Award for Retail Design at the Queensland Design on Show (QDOS) Awards in 2009. This ground floor tenancy was an unassuming shell before Quadric started work. Our specialist services needed support by plumbing with pinpoint accuracy to achieve the masterpiece result expected by the client. Now it boasts a reception and waiting room worth waiting in with an upholstered seat that is a focal point of the space.

Queensland Childrens Hospital Project Office

The client wanted this office fitout to be a creative hub for the new Children’s Hospital Project Office. Following specific designs, a curved powdercoated steel reception desk was installed under a flush set ceiling with feature lighting in front of signage constructed from Duplo. S-shaped tables break up the space overlooking the street below. Three meeting rooms were fitted with audio visual equipment and roller blinds and two levels of work areas were fitted with new ceiling to hide extensive mechanical works. The end result proved to be an inspired space that demonstrates a professional yet artistic exuberance.

Hospital Medical Washing Equipment Installation

The Prince Charles and Royal Brisbane Hospitals required interior refurbishments including medical washing equipment installations. Quadric was in charge of installing state-of-the-art automated medical tool washing facilities and removing existing equipment. Intricate services including steam, medical gases, exhaust and reverse osmosis were involved. We worked to specific procedures to ensure all installations were completed effectively and full functionality was achieved for the refurbished areas.

Muir Denholm Dental Surgery

Denholm Dental required a refurbishment to create a dental surgery with a difference. The space was constructed from a bare shell with solid set ceilings, bulkheads and energy efficient lighting, toughened glass entry doors and detailed American White Oak joinery created in our workshop. Solid timber joinery floors and screens were installed throughout. The office areas received built-in cupboards with veneered timber internals and externals and desking with x-ray viewing screens. New air conditioning units were installed and dental rooms received specialist equipment and corian bench tops. Quadric custom built all joinery including dovetailed joins to ensure the quality expected by the client was achieved.

Amdel PC2 Laboratory Expansion

This project involved Quadric’s full design and construction services. The purpose of the building was to operate as an analytical laboratory in the areas of food, sugar, pharmaceuticals, environment and genetics. It was required to operate with a controlled temperature and environment, including positive air flows from the A/C system. All fixtures and fittings were installed to meet necessary building code requirements including BCA, fire services, work place health & safety, exit paths and maintenance requirements. Amdel undertakes delicate and sensitive work within its existing laboratory so work was undertaken in a way that did not impact on this work and/or the equipment used. Appropriate work practices were also undertaken by the contractors to protect existing Amdel operations. Very specific atmospheric conditions were required in each chamber including relative humidity, temperature, air pressure and lighting. Extensive medical and explosive gases, fume cupboards, purging and entrapment zones were involved and great care was taken throughout the project.
